  7. Version 3.0      Version 3.0 is a major revision.  The difference that 
  8.                  will be most obvious to all is that the program now 
  9.                  operates interactively (although you can still just 
  10.                  rely on the DOS command line).  There are also changes 
  11.                  specific to the two modes of operation.

  13.                  1.      The Ordinary Way
  14.  
  15.                  No longer are two passes required to fix broken codes 
  16.                  inside footnotes and other structures.  WPMD will now 
  17.                  properly handle broken codes inside these structures.
  18.  
  19.                  2.      Drastic Surgery
  20.  
  21.                  It is no longer necessary to use another program to 
  22.                  find the hex offset for the beginning of the text.  
  23.                  WPMD now has its own file viewer, and you can just 
  24.                  move the cursor to the beginning of the text and let 
  25.                  WPMD figure out the offset.  Moreover, WPMD will, 
  26.                  optionally, move backward from that point to see if 
  27.                  you have placed the cursor after codes at the actual 
  28.                  beginning of the document.  Finally, before displaying 
  29.                  the file, WPMD will test the value stored in the file 
  30.                  to see if it has the correct beginning of the 
  31.                  document.  Since it usually will, you may not need the 
  32.                  file viewer at all.

  36.                  1.   Fixed minor bug affecting a WPerf code which is 
  37.                  the last item in the input file, and possibly other 
  38.                  codes on rare occasions.
